Yes, I am serious, that is her last name and no, her first name isn't Mary :)
Things are starting to warm up here :) not to mention we met a lady while knocking on doors and she wanted to learn more about our faith! She was interested mainly about the Book of Mormon and where it came from! Oh blessings and good things are coming to Prosper with the help of some Christmas spirit :D (i could do this all day)
I also gained more of a perspective about obedience. From what I've seen it really has EVERYTHING to do with our agency. Plus, I learned that there is no such thing as free agency. Jesus Christ paid the price so that we could return to our Heavenly Father's presence after we die, even when some of us don't make much effort to be obedient to the commandments we've been given, including some who never got the chance to learn how to return to God's presence. That why Jesus Christ performed the Atonement, he gave his life so we ALL could be saved and know what we can do to live with them someday. In order to use our time wisely here we have to practice our agency and choose to obey the commandments of God and keep the covenants we make with Him. To help us to achieve this we need to be unified in the same goal of eternal life with our families in our time on earth.
The only way to become unified with our Heavenly Father is to align our wills to his. For example let use a goal such as World Peace, we all have to have it on the forefront of our minds and prioritize our lives to achieve that goal. Otherwise it will never completely happen. Becoming one with the Lord is a constant effort on each of our parts. I like to use this analogy:
We are all gears in a clock, if one of the gears doesn't choose to move in the right direction it can cause the rest of the gears to malfunction or even stop the whole clock (Like how our choices effect those around us). If a gear ever brakes or falls out of place, that where the clock maker comes into play. He mends the cracks and sets the gear back into place or in even in a better spot that he knows it will be needed to help the rest of the gears to keep moving in the right direction. But it's still up to us to keeping moving along. We get to decide if we want to be of use or just miss out on helping the clock of the world to keep ticking forward.
Those were just my thoughts.
Hope your week was good! Let me know if I can ever do anything for any of you.
Remember! Keep Ticking Forward :)
Love, Sister Baker
